During the summer months, many rooms become uncomfortably hot due to the sun’s intense rays. This can hurt concentration, breathing, and the ability to get a good night’s sleep. Conversely, in winter, despite increased heating, many people experience the familiar sensation of a hot head and cold feet.

To address these issues, our KONTA ThermoShield product range offers a solution in the form of ThermoShield Interieur, a thermoceramic paint. This innovative paint creates a pleasant interior climate throughout the year, regardless of the weather conditions outside.

ThermoShield Interieur contains tiny ceramic bubbles called Microspheres, which form a thermochromic membrane when applied to surfaces. During the summer, this membrane absorbs excess moisture from the air and stores it. Later on, it releases this moisture into the drier room air, following the principle of entropy. This process creates a cooling effect, reducing both wall surface temperatures and overall room temperatures.

In winter, when humidity levels are low, the thermochromic coating acts as a heat distributor. It evenly spreads the heat energy across its membrane, without transferring it to the wall behind it. This technology, known as SF technology, increases the surface temperature and reflects energy in the short-wave infrared range (IR reflection). As a result, convection currents and thermal bridges are minimized, preventing dust movement and the formation of mold. This creates a pleasant indoor climate, even for individuals with allergies or asthma.

Furthermore, the coating maintains a relative humidity of approximately 55% throughout the year, thanks to its unique physical properties. This level of humidity is widely considered to be the most comfortable.

KONTA ThermoShield Interieur does not contain semi-volatile organic compounds, such as plasticizers, organic solvents, or isothiazolinones. This means that during and after application, there are no harmful particles or fumes released that could pose a risk to health or trigger allergies.
